Save our Pub!

BREAKING NEWS! Next village meeting: 6pm Sunday 12th February in Great Haseley village hall

Since the 5th January 2012, the centre of village life in Great Haseley has been in darkness. The owners of The Plough public house have decided to put the property up for sale. This is probably the first time in 800 years that the village has been without a pub.

Slide 1

THE ACTION GROUP

The people of Great Haseley, Little Haseley and the surrounding area are passionate about saving this community asset and have formed an action group to raise funds to buy the property. We will do this through the creation of a new business – The Haseley Pub Company Limited

WHAT HAS BEEN ACHIEVED?

In the first 2 days of the campaign, the action group received pledges for nearly £150,000. The total continues to rise on a daily basis

WHAT CAN I DO?

WRITE. Please write to the local council and let them know that the pub must remain as a pub for the good of the village and the surrounding area. We must prevent developers from getting permission for a change-of-use.

PARTICIPATE. Attend our next meeting at 6pm on Sunday 12th February in Great Haseley village hall. All ideas and comments are welcome.
